Santa Fe Station Host Two Of The Longest Running Bands In The LV Music Scene This Past Weekend!

I feel a little history buzzing around me after my weekend music outings. Why, might you ask?

I attended two of the longest-running bands in the LV music scene, Friday and Saturday nights at the Chrome Showroom inside the Santa Fe Station Hotel Casino.

Between the two bands, they have a total of 41 years in the biz! That alone is amazing!

Yellow Brick Road (1997-Today) 28 years.

Friday night was nothing short of electric as Yellow Brick Road took the stage. With a packed house of devoted fans and first-timers alike, the band delivered a high-energy two-hour set that paid flawless tribute to rock legends of the past. From the soaring vocals of the amazing Kelly Christian to the spot-on guitar solos delivered by the masterful Mark Cole, every note felt authentic and passionately delivered. The lighting and sound were crisp and powerful, perfectly complementing the band’s dynamic performance. Yellow Brick Road brought the classics to life with precision and heart. It wasn’t just a concert, it was a full-blown rock experience that left the crowd cheering, singing along, filling the dance floor, and already planning their next return to witness the perfection of Yellow Brick Road!

Blue String Theory (2012 - Today) 13 years

The Chrome Showroom came alive Saturday night with the vibrant sounds of Blue String Theory, delivering a show that blended precision musicianship with crowd-pleasing energy. From the moment they hit the stage, the band locked in with the audience, weaving together classic rock favorites, modern hits, and a few unexpected gems that showcased their range and versatility. Frontman Brian Pollack led the charge with powerful vocals and engaging stage presence, backed by a tight rhythm section and the skillful lead guitar work of Kevin Woodall. The sound mix was spot-on, allowing every instrument and harmony to shine in the acoustically rich showroom. Whether fans came to dance, sing along, or simply take in a night of top-tier live music, Blue String Theory delivered a set that was both polished and passionate, a true highlight of the weekend music scene in Las Vegas!
