Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class Of 2025 Nominees Announced And Their History In Las Vegas

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced its 14 nominees for the class of 2025. This year's list features a diverse array of musical artists spanning many different genres and eras.

Notably, eight of these artists are first-time nominees: Bad Company, The Black Crowes, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Billy Idol, Maná, OutKast, and Phish.

Maná's nomination is particularly historic, as they are the first Spanish-language band to be considered for induction.

To be eligible for nomination, artists or bands must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior. The final list of inductees will be determined by an international voting panel of over 1,200 artists, historians, and music industry professionals. The selection criteria include an artist's impact on music culture, influence on other musicians, and the longevity and depth of their career.

The inductees will be announced in late April 2025, with the induction ceremony scheduled to take place in Los Angeles in the fall. Fans also have the opportunity to participate in the selection process through the Rock Hall's Fan Vote, which is open until April 21, 2025.
